Taplejung. The Pathibhara Area Development Committee has stated that a total of 1.33 million 500 offerings were collected at the famous religious site Pathibhara Temple in the district in Falgun. The committee has made this information public in accordance with its commitment to make the offerings made by devotees public on a monthly basis.
The committee also stated that the number of devotees who visited Pathibhara in Falgun was 7,428. This number is lower than the previous one. In Falgun last year, 17,912 devotees visited Pathibhara. Similarly, during that time, an amount of 5.57 million 880 offerings were collected.
According to the committee’s executive director Prajin Hangbang, the main reason for the decrease in the number of devotees at Pathibhara Temple is the controversy over the construction of the cable car that is currently in the news. He said that the number has decreased this year due to the closure due to the dispute over the cable car.
The Pathibhara temple, which holds religious and tourist importance, is visited by a large number of devotees, especially during festivals such as Chaitra Dashain, Ram Navami, Badashain, Tihar. The committee has stated that around three lakh domestic and foreign visitors visit the temple annually.
