Acting Chief of The State Tourism Development Programme Implementation Unit Office under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Double Bahadur Bohara, said that nakshatra batika has been constructed with the objective of preserving natural beauty and original religious culture in mohanyal religious forest area at Chaumala of Gauriganga municipality-1.
The batika has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.7 million by the state government through the Forest Users Committee. Acting Chief Bohara said that according to Vastu Shastra, batika has been built by balancing nine planets, 12 zodiac signs and 27 nakshatras. According to eastern philosophy, 27 species of plants have also been planted according to the 27 nakshatras as the balance of the planets and constellations is done by the plants.
According to Consumer Committee member Dharma Saru Magar, 27 species of saplings have been planted in Batika including Amla, Sami, Jamun, Anak, Bamboo, Maulshree, Rittha, Palans, Dumri, Sisau, Pipal, Nagkeshari, Bar, Bel, Arjun, Kankero, Simal, Raj vriksha, Katahar, Kadam, Mango, Neem, Banana, Mahuva, Khayar, Lahare Pipal and Wet.
