Khotang. Khotehang Rural Municipality has found that 90 percent of the physical infrastructure development project has been completed. For the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, the rural municipality had allocated budget for the construction of roads, bridges, irrigation schemes, school buildings, assembly halls, covered halls, chisyan centers and playgrounds.
A total of 11 physical infrastructure development schemes under different headings were constructed at Khotehang of Ward No. 9 for the current fiscal year. Of the Rs 125.48 million allocated for the physical infrastructure development plan for the current fiscal year, Rs 96.011 million has been spent.
According to rural municipality chief Udim Bahadur Rai, most of the projects constructed in collaboration with the federal and state governments have already made physical progress. “We are working with limited resources and resources. Most of the projects constructed for this fiscal year have already been completed,” he said, adding, “In the case of multi-year plans, we will move ahead by allocating the budget again in the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.” We are working on the schemes and programs we have prepared keeping in mind the quality determination, sustainability and transparency. ’
Khotehang rural municipality, located in the southern part of the district, organized an annual public hearing on Thursday and informed about its activities. The public hearing was organized in the presence of chiefs and representatives of rural municipality-level political parties, stakeholders, journalists and others.
Based on the total budget of Rs 582.87 million, 63.53 per cent was spent on current and 49.61 per cent on capital expenditure. Nepali Congress Khotehang Rural Municipality Working Committee President Prem Thapa, Cpn (UML) Secretary Amar Bahadur Basnet, Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) Chair Dipen Thulung, Bhagawati Dinanath Secondary School Principal Kumar Parajuli, locals and ward member Pradeep Acharya of Ward No. 4 Badkadiale, among others, expressed their grievances and suggestions.
The rural municipality has suggested paying attention to sustainability and quality, solving payment problems, formulating a program to stop migration, adjusting the schools and operating them in a residential manner, modernizing the traditional agricultural system and making the locals professional.
