Kathmandu. On Sunday morning, CPN-UML central member Bishnu Rijal made a sarcastic comment on the social media Facebook about Foreign Minister Arju Deuba Rana’s stay in India for 6 days.

He wrote on the social media Facebook, ‘Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Deuba has been in India for 6 days. He will get a maximum of 15 minutes to speak at the Raisina Dialogue organized by India. Last time, Foreign Minister NP Saud spent five days speaking in a one-hour panel along with four other panelists. The next Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha spent nine days in Beijing to meet the Chinese Foreign Minister. It is known that he does a lot of work within the country, but one should be a little careful about what the world says. This shows how much equal footing such foreign ministers have with their counterparts in India and China and how much importance they attach to it.’

Rijal, who has high-level political knowledge of UML, has written on Facebook in a way that belittles the ministers of the government including his own party. This clearly indicates that a rift has arisen in the ruling coalition. UML leader Rijal is considered close to Prime Minister Oli and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel. India has already given a clear signal that it does not like Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government after it came to power. India’s failure to invite him to visit for 8 months after he became the Prime Minister not only confirms this but also indirectly plays a role in changing the government. During this time, dissatisfaction has increased among UML leaders after Foreign Minister Rana went to India and stayed there for a long time.

In this way, Foreign Minister Deuba has been visiting India repeatedly to balance power. However, Arju Deuba has not been met by the high-level leadership of India.

Congress politics on the eve of governor appointment

The Nepali Congress, which is seeking a large share in political appointments, has started politics on the issue of governor appointment. Although the UML has the Finance Minister and the UML Prime Minister, the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal and the Insurance Authority have already been taken by the Congress. Similarly, the Congress has decided to take the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Stock Exchange. The Congress, which has participated in the appointments to three important bodies, has also sought a role in the appointment of the governor. In the cabinet meeting held on February 21, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel had tried to form a governor selection committee.

However, the Nepali Congress ministers had stopped the formation of the committee, saying that party president Sher Bahadur Deuba was also concerned about the appointment of the governor. The Congress has insisted that only two members in the governor selection committee should be from the Congress. However, the UML has argued that all the governors assigned to it should be members of the UML. Sources said that the Congress will not hesitate to change the government over the issue of the governor. Sources told Singha Durbar, “The Maoists lost the government because Santosh Narayan Shrestha was not appointed as the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal. The Congress is preparing to remove the UML from power with the Maoists over the issue of the governor.”

According to the source, billions of rupees have been manipulated in the appointment of the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal. Similarly, middlemen are also showing their influence in the appointment of the governor to shake the government. Discussions have started at the UML party office in Chyasal regarding the issue of the government. Discussions have begun among leaders in the party office, saying that the government may soon collapse.

Monarchy and Hinduism

When the constitution was promulgated in Nepal in 2072 BS, India had clearly put pressure on the establishment of a Hindu nation. When Nepal did not accept this issue, India imposed an undeclared blockade. At the same time, Prime Minister Oli had created the image of a nationalist leader by raising anti-India slogans. The current Indian government does not like Oli’s government, saying that it played an important role in spreading anti-India sentiment in Nepal.

Since India does not like Prime Minister Oli, the issue of the monarchy is now being discussed, which will lead to a crisis in the system itself. India has repeatedly pressured the Nepali Congress to form a government without KP Oli. The remaining quorum has also been arranged for this. But the government has not been able to fall because Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba did not agree.

According to the source, if KP Oli’s government does not fall, some agencies have moved forward in a planned manner to overturn the Nepali political system. A high-ranking source told Singha Durbar, “The Modi government’s biggest concern in Nepal is Hindu sovereignty. When American agencies neglect it and the European Union itself is in crisis, the constitution may be amended for Hindu sovereignty as per India’s wishes.” There are some agencies preparing to initially change the system and eventually create an environment for Hindu sovereignty.
