Parsa. The District Administration Office, Parsa, has completely banned the import of chickens, chicks and white eggs from the bordering Indian territory following the outbreak of bird flu in neighboring India. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief District Officer (CDO) Ganesh Aryal today with stakeholders.

CDO Aryal said that the decision to ban the import of chickens and poultry products was taken with utmost caution as the outbreak of bird flu has been observed in the border area. “It has been decided to immediately conduct joint monitoring and increase additional surveillance in the border areas to discourage the consumption and sale of such goods in the internal market,” he said.
