Kathmandu. Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Department Store is going to honor the employees who fought against the anarchic royalist looters on the 15th. The company is going to honor the employees by holding a program on Wednesday.
The store was closed on Friday after the royalist movement took a violent turn. But when the royalist looters vandalized the supermarket building and started looting the goods, the security guards and other employees resisted.
A video of Bhatbhateni’s security guards chasing the looters is going viral on social media. Bhatbhateni Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Panu Poudel informed that the employees who performed their duties without fearing the chaotic mobs are being honored.
CEO Poudel said, “We are going to honor the employees who were on the front lines performing their duties while an uncontrolled mob was vandalizing and looting the Bhatbhateni Superstore in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, and the employees who worked on maintenance work throughout the night to continue the business.”
Enthused by the royalist movement on Chaitra 15, the looters had vandalized Bhatbhateni, looted various goods, and damaged the building. The looting caused a total loss of 80 lakh 33 thousand 192 rupees to the market of Bhatbhateni.
