Kathmandu. The 18th anniversary of Citizens Bank International Limited has been completed. On the occasion of its 18th anniversary, the bank has organized a morning procession program in all seven provinces today (Baishakh 7) with the participation of about 921 employees.
The bank operates provincial offices in its own buildings in all seven provinces and has mobilized Rs. 173 billion in loans out of the total deposits of about Rs. 200.2 billion by the third quarter of the current fiscal year through 200 branches.
Also, the bank, under its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, has made meaningful the slogan ‘Blood Donation is a Donation of Life’ and with the intention of fulfilling the need and the ongoing shortage of blood to some extent, has organized blood drives from a total of 33 branches in all seven provinces in collaboration with the Nepal Red Cross Society and Himal Hospital. The blood donation program was successfully completed with the participation of about 913 blood donors.
Keeping digital banking as a high priority and adhering to the main mantra of ‘Brick Banking to Click Banking’, the Tap & Pay service has been launched through the Citizens Mobile Banking App and for the first time in Nepal, the Cross Bank Teller QR payment service has been launched.
Citizens Bank’s mobile banking users can make payments of up to Rs. 5,000 offline through their mobile banking service using Tap & Pay. Pay, the bank has stated.
Also, the bank has launched the Cross Bank Teller QR system for the first time in Nepal, whereby customers of other banks can go to the nearest Citizens Bank branch counter and scan their valid ID card through their bank’s mobile banking to receive instant cash payments.
The bank aims to make the payment process faster and more secure and provide a convenient service experience to customers by making this type of service.
And on this occasion, the bank has launched a new savings account (Citizens Freelancer Saving Account), has been launched with the slogan ‘Save Local, Earn Global – Citizens Freelancer Saving Account’. This account has been specially designed keeping in mind the financial needs of freelancers. Customers of this account are provided with the facility to open both Nepali Rupee and US Dollar savings accounts, along with the highest interest rates on both savings accounts.
This savings account includes health insurance up to Rs 25,000 for the first year (OPD services up to Rs 5000), accidental death insurance up to Rs 300,000, and free mobile banking, internet banking, debit card, and demat account facilities, the bank has informed.
