Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the government must take some risks for the development of the country’s economy.

At the ‘Ncell Bahrakhari Golf and Economic Dialogue’ organized by Bahrakhari Media, he said that the economy will develop if the government is able to increase trust among private investors, pointing out the need for meaningful support from the private sector in this.

General Secretary Thapa, who is also a federal member of parliament, emphasized that only open and transparent discussions in every sector can provide meaningful solutions to problems. Stating that the government is trying to do important work to improve the economy, he said that the private sector and citizens should trust the government’s plans for governance reform and economic reform.

Leader Thapa emphasized that work should be done in the areas of IT, software, and programming, as well as infrastructure. He said that the government should facilitate those who want to do something within the country, and the government leadership should take planned initiatives for that. He emphasized that coordination and discussions should be held with the concerned bodies on how to address the tax system at a policy level.

If arrangements can be made to bring money earned abroad into the country and easily take out money earned here, investment will come in, claimed MP Thapa. He said that the latest law enacted by the government could be the beginning of that.

He said that since the general public is interested in the appointment of the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, a qualified and competent person should be appointed. RSS
