The Commission has initiated an investigation against the employees after the Department became indifferent to collecting the tax evaded despite clear evidence of the pick power (kW) of electric vehicles being evaded.
The Department of Customs had written a letter to the subordinate offices on May 20, 2080, alleging tax evasion in EV vehicles. However, the subordinate offices have not initiated any process to recover the fraudulent revenue.
