Ciaa Hetauda office receives several complaints related to rautahat’s local level

Birgunj. Hetauda: A total of 1,564 complaints have been filed at the local levels of 12 districts under the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Hetauda. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Hetauda, Rajiv Shrestha, said rautahat, Bara and Parsa districts have received the highest number of complaints among the districts under the office.

“In the last 10 months of the current fiscal year, 430 complaints related to the local levels of Rautahat have been registered,” he said, adding that the second highest number of complaints were registered in Bara with 397 and Parsa districts at 352. Ramechhap and Rasuwa districts recorded the lowest number of complaints in the current fiscal year. Where only three complaints have been received in 10 months.

Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Hetauda Office Umakanta Acharya said it was necessary to maintain the rule of law and good governance at the local level. “The number of complaints of distortions at the local levels of Madhes province is high,” he said, adding, “It has become necessary for the local levels to maintain good governance and put an end to the distortions and anomalies seen here.” He also opined that there should be no fear if a complaint is lodged with the CIAA.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrestha said that many types of complaints have been received at the local level regarding the public procurement process. “There have been a lot of complaints at the local level, especially in the public procurement and construction process,” he said. There is very little culture of following the procurement process and the law,” he said, adding, “The wrong tendency to carry out the work taken over by the consumer committee through another contractor is also developing.” In the last fiscal year, 918 complaints were filed with the CIAA in 12 districts under the office.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrestha said that the CIAA Office, Hetauda has disposed of 1,039 complaints in the last 10 months of the current fiscal year. In the last fiscal year, 454 complaints were disposed of. According to the Office, 525 complaints are yet to be disposed of in the 10 months of the current fiscal year, while 464 complaints are yet to be disposed of in the last fiscal year.

Hetauda office comprises three districts of Madhes province and nine districts of Bagmati province. These include Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Dhading, Dolakha, Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Ramechhap districts. rss
