Kathmandu. Chief Whip of The Rastriya Prajatantra Party Gyan Bahadur Shahi has said that parliament would not be allowed to move forward until the home minister’s resignation.
Talking to media persons at the Parliament House premises on Wednesday, Chief Whip Shahi warned that it would not be tolerated if the government failed to raise its voice in parliament to take action against the gangs selling citizens of the country.
He said it would not be acceptable at any cost for the lawmakers of the ruling party to get the lawmakers of the ruling party before the opposition gets time instead of putting forth their views in tuesday’s meeting.
Whip Shahi clarified that the opposition had sought the home minister’s resignation and not an answer. Stating that the agitation on May 15 would be peaceful, he said Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should take responsibility for any violence.
The Prime Minister accused the prime minister of trying to wage war by making provocative speeches and beating people.
“The first thing is that the main opposition parties, including the main opposition, will ask for resignation on the home minister’s visit visa issue and will not allow the parliament to move forward until they promise to form a high-level inquiry committee,” he said. Instead of forming an inquiry committee in parliament to take action against the gangs selling to the citizens of the country, the government can do so. In this country, we forced the youth to go abroad, but we also sold Nepalis by making them Bhutanese. Not only that, now people started selling even on visit visas. We demanded an answer in Parliament. If the Home Minister does not resign, then a parliamentary committee should be formed. But parliament could not move forward as the ruling party did not accept it. ‘
“Parliament has been stalled because of the ruling party and the government. And, the Speaker also does not have the theme that the lawmakers of the ruling party will get the opposition’s views before the opposition. The opposition did not seek a reply from the Home Minister but sought his resignation. The Prime Minister should take responsibility if there is any violence in our movement on May 15. He is trying to wage war by making provocative speeches in violation of Nepal’s constitution, articles and laws. Our movement will be peaceful. Even if there is an accident on anyone, the Prime Minister should take responsibility for it. Don’t do too much, don’t do too much, if you do too much, it’s a disaster. It would be better to ask the government about the removal of PSO,” he said.
He urged the government to ask the government about the removal of rpp chief whip and security personnel of the committee.
