Karnali. Chief Minister of the Karnali Provincial Government, Yamalal Kandel, has directed to increase the pace of capital budget implementation. He gave the instructions to the ministers and secretaries at the progress review program of the third quarter of the current fiscal year organized by the provincial government in Birendranagar, Surkhet on Monday.

Chief Minister Kandel said that since the remaining period in budget implementation is important, the progress of the provincial government’s expenditure will improve only if it can be accelerated.

Stating that the provincial government has set a target of implementing 80 percent of the budget in the current fiscal year, he said that although progress has not been achieved as per the target, there has been some improvement recently.

Chief Minister Kandel asked the secretary about the failure to produce sufficient returns even when manpower was sufficient. ‘Earlier, work used to be stopped because there was not enough manpower, but now, even though there is enough manpower, why has the expected results not been achieved? We must review it,” he said, “Although we have been working hard since Shrawan, we have not been able to achieve significant results. I draw the attention of the ministers and secretaries to ensure effective results in good governance and budget implementation.”

Says that some work has been left behind due to the tradition of only sending letters to their thematic ministries and remaining calm, he directed the ministers to focus on the policies and programs and budget for the coming year and to prepare the budget in a way that is felt by the people rather than the traditional way.

Chief Minister Kandel suggested to the ministers and secretaries that discipline should not be used to keep work stuck, but to work to improve the situation and ensure that the ministry finds a way out.
