Baglung. IME Group has invested in the Ela Comfort Luxury Hotel in Baglung.
The Ela Comfort Hotel, which has been put into operation in Baglung, will provide quality service facilities to tourists and other guests visiting the Gandaki region and tourist sites in Baglung via the Kali Gandaki Corridor and the Mid-Pahadi Lok Marg.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey inaugurated the service operation of the Ela Comfort Hotel at a grand ceremony organized in Baglung on Saturday.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Minister Pandey said that the investment made by IME Group in the tourism infrastructure sector has contributed to the country’s tourism industry. He said that it has had a positive impact on the industry. Minister Pandey mentioned that the future of Nepal’s economic prosperity lies in tourism and the government is determined to promote it.
On the occasion, Minister of the Gandaki Province Government, Krishna Pathak, discussed the investment made by IME Group in the development of tourism infrastructure across the country and called for more investment in Gandaki Province.
He said, Chairman Dhakal is investing in the development of tourism infrastructure in various places including all the seven provinces of the country. It has been heard that there are some obstacles in some places. If so, then you should come to our Gandaki Province with your investment. We, the people of Gandaki, welcome you to build more tourism infrastructure.
On the occasion, IME Group Chairman and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Chandra Prasad Dhakal expressed his belief that this hotel, which has been brought into operation in Baglung, will contribute to the development of tourism in this region. He also said that he has focused his investment on tourism infrastructure, including hotels and cable cars, in all seven provinces of the country, reflecting the feelings of millions of Nepalis who have been forced to migrate abroad due to the lack of investment and employment opportunities within the country.
He said, “We have focused our investment on these sectors as investment in tourism and hydropower will bring multifaceted benefits to the economy and the improvement of the living standards of citizens.”
He also said that this hotel, which was inaugurated today, will provide quality service facilities to tourists and other guests and will significantly increase the number of Indian and Chinese tourists visiting Nepal via the Kali Gandaki Corridor through Sunauli in India and the Korala border with China, further contributing to the tourism, economic and cultural development of Baglung and the entire Kali Gandaki region, he added. .
At the program, federal MPs Deepak Giri, Jeevan Pariyar, Baglung Municipality Mayor Basanta Shrestha, and Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Naresh Kandel called for more investment, stating that the operation of hotels in Baglung has contributed to the tourism infrastructure here.
This hotel, built with an investment of about Rs 300 million, is believed to set a new standard for quality accommodation in Baglung. Spread over approximately 4 ropanis of land, Ela Comfort Baglung has 30 attractively designed rooms, including 27 guest rooms, two beautiful suite rooms and an exclusive penthouse.
