Chamber President Agrawal urges Sri Lankan private sector to invest in Nepal

Kathmandu. President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal has urged sri lankan entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal. During his visit to Sri Lanka, Chairman Agrawal urged the private sector to invest in hydropower, information technology and tourism sectors.

Speaking at the Nepal-Sri Lanka Business and Business Conference organised by the Embassy of Nepal in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Chairman Agrawal stressed that Nepal is also an excellent destination for investment opportunities and safe returns.

During a meeting with officials of the National Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka, Chairman Agrawal said that an environment has been created to ensure the return of investment in Nepal.

Informing the Sri Lankan businessmen about the areas of investment in Nepal, Chairman Agrawal stressed the need for collaboration between the private sector of the two countries for joint investment and trade facilitation with concrete strategic plan. Agarwal said that bilateral visits should be continued for this purpose.

On the occasion, discussions were held on trade opportunities between the two countries, investment challenge policy and legal framework. Chairman Agrawal said that the private sector of Sri Lanka is positive for investment in Nepal.
