Kathmandu. The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has expressed serious objection to the vandalism, arson, and looting of private and public property and media houses in the name of protest last Friday. The Chamber of Commerce has expressed serious objection to the violent incidents that took place in the name of protests in Baneshwor, Tinkune, Koteshwor and other areas of Kathmandu.
A statement issued by the Chamber said, “During the protests held last Friday, two youths, including a journalist, have tragically died, and many physical properties, both public and private, and media houses have also been damaged.” Strongly condemning and condemning such violent incidents, the Chamber of Commerce has stated that the victims of Friday’s incident should receive appropriate compensation.
The Chamber has stated that the natural rights of ordinary citizens and entrepreneurs to carry out their professions were violated during the protests. Noting that there was a tragic loss of human life during the protests, the Chamber has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the people who lost their lives and deep condolences to the families.
The Chamber has requested all stakeholders to exercise restraint as such reckless activities will further destabilize the economy at a time when the country’s economy is on the verge of recovery.
