Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, has filed a charge sheet at the Kathmandu District Court against 61 people for their alleged involvement in the violent protests by supporters of the former king at Tinkune on April 15.
TAG_OPEN_span_9 The District Police Range, Kathmandu, had submitted a report on Thursday with the opinion that 108 people should be prosecuted. Though preparations were made to file a case in the court on Friday, the case was registered today as it could not be completed due to paucity of time.
RamHari Sharma Kafle TAG_OPEN_span_8, chief of the District Government Attorney’s Office, said that a case has been filed against 61 people today. On the basis of the crime, they have been charged with different and joint cases including murder, attempt to murder, crimes against the state, criminal nuisance, organized crime.
Medical entrepreneur Durga TAG_OPEN_span_7 Prasai, RPP senior vice-president Rabindra Mishra, RPP general secretary Dhaval Shumsher JBR and others are the defendants in the case. In the case of children, cases will be filed in the juvenile court.
