Kanchanpur. An adult male tiger captured from Tendhuwa village in Belauri Municipality-2 was released in Shuklaphanta National Park last night. According to Division Forest Office Chief Ram Bichari Thakur, the tiger was released in a safe natural habitat in the core area (inner part) of the park.
The tiger, which was safely rescued from a wheat field on Sunday, underwent a health check. The tiger was found to be healthy and was released in the park area.
After discussions with the Division Forest Office Kanchanpur, Shuklaphanta National Park, National Nature Conservation Trust, District Administration Office and other security agencies, the decision to release the tiger in the park area was made, Chief Thakur said.
