Capital expenditure in Mustang is disappointing, only Rs 1.66 billion spent out of a budget of Rs 3.79 billion

Mustang. The capital expenditure of the provincial offices operating here in the first six months of the current fiscal year has been disappointing, while the expenditure of the federal office has been found satisfactory.

According to the District Treasury and Accounts Controller’s Office, the expenditure of the provincial offices here in proportion to the budget allocated for the current fiscal year has been found disappointing and that of the federal office has been found satisfactory.

Although the budget expenditure is satisfactory as the manpower of the previous offices on the federal side is still being deployed, the provincial expenditure has not been as expected due to the addition of new offices on the provincial side, lack of manpower and instability of the provincial government, said Jabbar Bahadur Bhandari, Treasury Controller.

Out of a budget of Rs 2.92 billion 3.9 million, Rs 1.41 billion 6.1 million has been spent during the review period.

Revenue of Rs 560 million Collection

The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General has stated that Rs 56 million 34 thousand in revenue has been collected in the first six months of the current fiscal year.

Rs 42 million 28 million 74 thousand have been collected from the federal side and Rs 13 million 31 million 59 thousand from the provincial side. The amount has been collected by 14 federal and nine provincial offices.
