Kathmandu. CpN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the party was taking the party forward by taking people’s suggestions and criticism seriously.
Addressing an interaction programme organised by the Mid-Hill Highway Jan Samvad Abhiyan team led by Dahal at Jajarkot district headquarters today, he said the party has launched a campaign to connect the party with the people.
According to Dahal’s private secretariat, monitoring the status of development projects initiated by the Maoists is another objective of the campaign.
Representatives of people’s representatives, political parties, employees, journalists and civil society were present on the occasion. Development projects such as Bheri Corridor, Mid-Hill Highway, Lumbini-Rara Highway have progressed in Jajarkot, roads have reached the villages, but the work of Nalgad Hydropower Project has been stopped yet.
Chairman Dahal said the party has taken the suggestions of the people seriously. He drew the attention of the government to provide adequate relief assistance to those affected by the Jajarkot earthquake.
He also urged the government to increase the effectiveness of federalism while addressing public complaints that powers have not been delegated as per the spirit of federalism.
