He said that former King Shah had prepared the basis for a new resolution to make the Nepali people more empowered, more aware, and move forward on the journey of socialist revolution.

President Dahal said, “We prepared the basis for the republic. And Gyanendra helped us through his stupidity. If he had not been so stupid, it would have lasted for a few more years. If he had not oppressed the seven political parties, if he had not kicked the leaders, saying that we would follow them, he could have lasted for a few more years. Gyanendra’s role as a villain is also important in the establishment of the republic. Even now, the artless drama of restoring the monarchy is being performed again. They have prepared the basis of a new resolution to make the Nepali people more empowered, more aware and move forward on the journey of socialist revolution. Once again, the role of Gyanendra Shah is important. Stories, literature, novels do not work only with heroes, they also need villains. If the villain is not active, the hero may not be successful. If the villain comes in a dangerous form, he works with strength.’

President Dahal said that now the need is not for amending the constitution but for reviewing it. He said that it is necessary to amend the constitution only after reviewing it. He insisted that the amendment can take the right shape only after all the forces come together and start a critical debate.

President Dahal said, ‘Let us now start a review debate on the constitution from various platforms. Let all political parties and all political forces participate in this review. Who established the nearly 70-year-old agenda of declaring the constitution through the Constituent Assembly. Only when all those forces come together and start a critical debate can the amendment take the right shape. I urge everyone for this.’

President Dahal said that awareness is being spread among the oppressed class community.
