The death toll in the bus accident that occurred near Industrial Village in Dhankuta Municipality-6 on Monday has reached three. Krishna Kumari Bhujel, 73, of Dhankuta Municipality-6, who was seriously injured in the incident, died during treatment at Dhankuta Hospital, while the driver, Rudra Tamang, 51, of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-13, Sunsari, also died on Monday evening.
Dhankuta Police have stated that Leela Bahadur Shrestha, 58, of Bhojpur Shadananda Municipality-13, who was undergoing treatment, died this morning. Police have informed that Shrestha died at 4 am at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
According to the police, two of the other injured are being treated in Dhankuta, one at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar and the rest at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. 14 people were injured in the bus accident. Three of the seriously injured have died.
The injured in the bus accident are Suryamani Tamang of Shadananda Municipality-13, Anmol Tamang of the same place, Krishna Raut of Barahakshetra Municipality-2 of Sunsari, Ganga Prasad Sapkota of Chyanggre Rural Municipality-3 of Bhojpur Poubadung, Sabina Baraili of Bhojpur Municipality-11, Devi BK of the same place, Hans Bahadur Rai of Sangurigadhi Gapa-6 of Dhankuta, Purnamaya Tamang of Shadananda Municipality-11 of Bhojpur, Dirghamaya Rai of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 of Dhankuta, Ayush Rai of Itahari and Dhankumar BK of Dhankuta-6, according to the District Police Office, Dhankuta.
