Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Nar Bahadur Bista has said that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year has come in the traditional style and it will not help in the overall development of the country. Taking part in the discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the Meeting of the National Assembly on Tuesday, Lawmaker Bista accused the government of failing to bring modern thinking and innovation in the budget formulation.
He said the country’s development and prosperity would not be possible unless it moved ahead with the modern model of development through the budget. Lawmaker Bista also said that the ministry-wise allocation was not balanced. He also alleged that the budget has been poured into the constituencies of some leaders and ministers.
Can the finance minister become a minister from only five out of 365 constituencies? he asked. He also alleged that the budget was allocated on the basis of political bias.
