Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has expressed the belief that the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS would take one more step towards building a strong economy. Finance Minister Poudel in today’s meeting of the National Assembly. Responding to the questions raised in the general discussion on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure of 83, he said that the budget presented will fulfill the dreams seen rather than dreaming new dreams.
Finance Minister Poudel expressed confidence that the budget would set a new example from the perspective of implementation. “The budget has been presented with the vision and determination to record that the budget was appropriate not only in terms of size, estimates and proposals but also in terms of implementation,” he said. By the end of the next fiscal year, inflation is 5. He also said that the budget would be implemented to achieve the target of 6 percent economic growth by keeping it at 5 percent.
Finance Minister Poudel said, “The country’s economy will be moving through the budget and after the implementation of the budget, we will move a step forward towards building a strong national economy.”
Stating that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year has come to complete the projects started in the past rather than the new ones, he said the focus was on the effective implementation of the projects announced in the past.
