Out of the 18 old serial projects, four projects, including the Archekhola and Arkala motorable bridges, have been completed and 14 are under construction. The budget allocated in the current fiscal year for seven projects for which a contract agreement was signed last year for Rs 677.8 million has been spent.

More than 50 percent physical progress has been made on the Beni-Pakhapani, Hadevir-Bhakimli, Pakher-Barangja, Adivhara-Dandagaun, Dharapani-Takam-Shiwang road projects. The construction of motorable bridges at Adivhara and Shivaratrikhola has begun.

The blacktop of three kilometers of the eight-kilometer Ranwang-Darwang section of the Beni-Darwang road, which began in the fiscal year 2076/77, has been completed, and preparations are underway to complete the rest of the road within this year. The contractors of the road upgrading project connecting the motorable bridge of Darkhola in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality and the tourist spot of Ghodepani in Annapurna Rural Municipality are preparing to start work.

A contract has been called for the implementation of the Darwang-Dharapani-Takam-Machim-Muna-Jaljala Dhorpatan road project, which has an allocation of Rs 240 million and a resource assurance of Rs 920 million this year.

The road upgrading project connecting Malika Rural Municipality-2 Room to Tarakhola in Baglung, which has a multi-year resource assurance of Rs 30 million, is also in the contracting process. Preparations are underway to call for tenders for the construction of the Beg Road in Raghuganga Rural Municipality and the Thapachaur-Savata Suspension Bridge in Malika Rural Municipality, which have a budget of Rs 50 million.

Although the Infrastructure Development Office has proposed multi-year resource assurance for the construction of the motorable bridge at Darkhola on the Muna-Mudi Road in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality and the Galeshwor-Kaulegouda Road, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Transport Management and Economic Affairs has not made a decision.

Provincial Assembly member Hari Bahadur Bhandari, elected from Myagdi 1(1), said that he has drawn the attention of the relevant ministries and the provincial government to the issue of the construction being stopped after the budget allocated in the current fiscal year for the projects for which contract agreements were signed last year was exhausted.
