According to them, the demand for cucumber in Rampur area is good in June-June, so the cultivation has been done keeping in mind this time.
Dil Bahadur said, “This time the production of cucumber has been very good, it has been sold easily in the market, we have become satisfied with the business, we have experienced that if hard work is done, the production will be good, the local market is being consumed well, we are happy to get the selling price in the current market.” ’
Lal Bahadur informed that they have been selling the produce since 35 days of planting the saplings. He said that a good income has been earned by selling cucumbers at the rate of Rs 70 per kg. He said, “Selling cucumbers every day would have been like a van to two people, there is no problem in not getting the market, if the production can be done, it will be sold in the local market, according to the demand of the market here, it is still not possible to reach it according to the demand of the market here.” ’
After returning from foreign employment, the Thapa brothers, who are involved in the agricultural business, have taken land on rent and cultivated it. The Thapa brothers started cultivating vegetables by converting the stone land left behind by producing brick kilns into cultivable land at Devisthan of Rampur Municipality-4. The locals here are shocked to see the youth growing green vegetables by registering it in the name of ‘Our Modern Agricultural Farm’ on this stone land. There has been a rush of people to observe the business of the Thapa brothers and learn new technology, seeds, marketing and other knowledge skills. Traders and customers also go to the farm to buy vegetables. This farm started by the youth has become like an agricultural learning center today.
