Agency. Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Manet said the Sihanokovil Special Economic Zone has boosted the state’s trade and economic growth. He also claimed that it has improved local livelihoods.

Hun Manet made the remarks at a ceremony to celebrate more than 200 enterprises investing in SEZs in Sihanoqueville. The 11-square-kilometer SEZ is a joint venture between Chinese and Cambodian companies, a major project under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The SEZ International Deep Water Center is located about 12 kilometers away from the Sihanoqueville Autonomous Port. Since its inception in 2008, the region has attracted a diverse range of multinational manufacturers.

Official data shows that the value of imports and exports passing through the region reached $ 4.07 billion in 2024. Which is an increase of 21.3 percent year-on-year. They said it was a pleasure to work with a steady income.
