Kathmandu. NADA Automobile Association of Nepal (NADA) has been serving as the collective organization for automobile entrepreneurs in Nepal. NADA remains consistently active in the overall promotion of Nepal’s automobile sector, collaboration in policy-making, and ensuring the smooth flow of trade and business.
NADA Automobile Association of Nepal is an Organization that is established with the vision to support the automobile industry of Nepal and contribute to Nation Development. NADA has played a pivotal role in shaping Nepal’s automobile policies, addressing industry challenges.
The newly formed Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers association (NAIMA) is an organization formed for advocacy of mobility empowerment, represented by automobile importers and manufacturers in Nepal. Since both organizations are directly involved in the automobile business, some member companies may choose to be a part of both associations. However, each association will remain committed to its goals and continue its efforts independently.
NAIMA’s goal is “EMPOWERING GROWTH THROUGH MOBILITY”. It aims to strengthen Nepal’s automotive sector through strategic policy advocacy, prioritizing sustainable and safe mobility. NAIMA is an organization that will be representing a specific area within the automobile industry, but its focus area and interventions will be for empowerment, development and growth of automobile industry and its stakeholders.
NAIMA is committed to educating consumers by promoting adoption and responsible environmental practices along with the need for improving road safety and infrastructure, working closely with the government to achieve these goals. Recently, discussions and news regarding the establishment of the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) have led to some misunderstandings about NADA and its role. We want to clarify that both the organization NAIMA and NADA believe that independent co-existence of both organizations will strengthen the automobile industry in Nepal.
As Nepal’s automobile sector progresses towards sustainable development, innovation, and policy stability, both NADA and NAIMA are committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of entrepreneurs, contributing to industry-friendly policy-making, and ensuring the overall advancement of the entire sector. NAIMA will be announcing its formal inception on 16th April 2025, in the event, Naima will be sharing its clear vision, key focus area, mid to long term plans, and intervention programs that it intends to do to empower mobility for everyone.
