Parsa. Birgunj Dry Port Customs Office has collected Rs 32.32 billion 88.78 million in revenue in the eight months of the current fiscal year.
The Customs Department had given the office a target of collecting Rs 60.48 billion 87.97 million in revenue throughout the year. According to Dhan Bahadur Baruwal, Chief of the Dry Port Customs Office, up to 92 percent of the monthly target has been collected in the last two months of the current fiscal year.
The office had collected Rs 3.75 billion in revenue in Shrawan and Rs 4.64 billion in Bhadra. Revenue of Rs 4.36 billion was collected in Asoj and Rs 3.79 billion in Kartik.
Similarly, revenue of Rs 3.22 billion was collected in Mangsir, Rs 3.56 billion in Poush, Rs 4.29 billion in Magh and Rs 4.68 billion in Falgun. Out of the eight months of the current fiscal year, the highest revenue was collected in Falgun.
