Parsa. Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs 94.52 billion 16.54 million in revenue in the seven months of the current fiscal year. This is Rs 7.95 billion more than the amount collected in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The said office had set a target of collecting Rs 121 billion 816.646 million during that period. According to the office’s information officer Amit Tiwari, revenue collection has also increased with the increase in imports of industrial raw materials and petroleum products. ‘There has been an increase in revenue collection for the past two months,’ he said.
Revenue collection of Rs 12.15 billion was collected in Shrawan, Rs 13.42 billion in Bhadra and Rs 13.47 billion in Asoj. The government has directed this office to collect Rs 218.95 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year.
