Kathmandu. The Finance Committee under the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the bill to amend and consolidate the customs law.
The committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday concluded the clause-wise discussion on the bill and passed it unanimously. Committee Chairman Santosh Chalise said that the bill was passed after a long discussion to resolve customs-related problems.
The government brought this bill saying that it is necessary to address the customs-related provisions through the Customs Act and Rules for trade facilitation. The committee is preparing to present the bill to the House soon along with a report.
