Kathmandu. Bhairahawa: Bhatbhateni Group is going to set up a state-of-the-art garment industry in Bhairahawa. A team led by Bhatbhateni and businessman Umesh Shrestha laid the foundation stone for setting up a state-of-the-art garment industry in Bhairahawa on Wednesday.
Chairman of the group Min Bahadur Gurung laid the foundation stone of the industry along with bhoomi pujan on Wednesday. “This new project has taken an important step in the commercial diversification of Bhatbhateni and sends a positive message that nepal’s industrial environment is improving,” said Panu Poudel, COO of Bhatbhateni.
The industry aims to create around 1,200 jobs. Which will mainly contribute to the local manpower and economic development of the region. The industry will be built to accommodate modern machinery, health protection and clean environmental systems, as well as solar energy systems and battery energy storage of more than one megawatt.

Poudel informed that the target is to produce readymade garments for the local market and international market through bhatbhateni’s stores.
“We believe that this project will not only expand Bhatbhateni’s strategic plan to increase local production, marketing and employment, but will also be a means to send a positive message that Nepal’s industrial policies and environment are improving,” he said.
