Baglung. The municipal-level basic hospital under construction in Nisikhola, Baglung, is incomplete. The hospital, which was supposed to be completed in Poush last year, is incomplete due to lack of budget.
The work on the construction of a 10-bed basic hospital in Jhimpa, Nisikhola Rural Municipality-4, was started in Magh 2078. The construction of the hospital, which was started at a cost of 82.4 million, was started with the aim of completing it in Poush 2080. However, only 90 percent of the work has been completed so far, informed Deepak Kumar Adai, head of Hindung IS/AC JB.
He says that if the municipality allocates the budget, the work can be completed within two months. He said that the bill of Rs 11 million submitted in Bhadra 2080 BS has not yet been paid.
He said that if the municipality manages the remaining Rs 11 million, including an additional Rs 6 million, there will be no problem in working. Mayor Adai said that the problem is not receiving payment for the work done for a long time. He said that if the municipality had managed the budget, the hospital could have been completed last year.
Nishikhola Rural Municipality Chairman Surya Bahadur Ghartimagar informed that the hospital is incomplete because the federal government has not sent the budget. He said that the rural municipality cannot allocate budget for the hospital as the internal resources of the rural municipality are low. Chairman Gharti Magar said that he has requested the Ministry of Health to manage the necessary budget.
