Bagmati. The Bagmati provincial government has spent only 16 percent of the budget in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Only about 16.27 percent of the total budget has been spent by December, informed Suraj Poudel, Information Officer at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning.
The provincial government brought a budget of 64.54 billion 431 thousand for the current fiscal year, of which 10.50 billion 29 million nine thousand have been spent by December. Poudel said that capital expenditure has been less compared to the current one.
Of the allocated budget, the Office of the Provincial Chief Attorney has spent the highest amount of 41.56 percent, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat has spent 28.36 percent, and the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Cooperatives has spent the lowest amount of 4.6 percent, according to the ministry.
