Bagmati Province government’s budget expenditure in nine months is 32 percent

Bagmati. The Bagmati provincial government has spent only 32.51 percent of the budget in the nine months of the fiscal year 2081-82. The provincial government has spent 28.24 percent of the budget on capital and 40.51 percent on current in the fiscal year 2081/82 from Shrawan to Chait, said Indraraj Sanjyal, Information Officer at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Planning.

According to him, the provincial government has spent Rs 20 billion 981.466 billion on capital and Rs 10 billion 497.11 million on current in the nine months of the current fiscal year 2081/82.

The provincial government had brought a budget of Rs 64 billion 544.31 million for the fiscal year 2081/82. He said that the capital budget has been spent less than the current budget.

Of the allocated budget, the Office of the Chief Attorney of the Province has spent the most (68.43 percent), the Provincial Assembly Secretariat (43.69 percent), and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (16.43 percent), according to the ministry. Information Officer Sanjyal said that current expenditure is higher until the first quarter of the fiscal year and capital expenditure is lower, and since some schemes have been implemented only a few months ago, the expenditure is now seen to be low.
