Bagmati. The Bagmati province government has spent only 38.91 per cent of its budget in the 10 months of the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
Information Officer at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Planning, Indra Raj Sanjyal, said that the state government has spent 35.01 percent of the capital budget and 46.79 percent of the current budget in the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
According to him, the state government has spent Rs 25.11 billion including Rs 13.02 billion on capital and Rs 12.08 billion on current fiscal year. According to him, out of the budget of Rs 64.54 billion for the current fiscal year, the capital budget has been spent less than the current fiscal year.
Of the allocated budget, the Office of the Chief Attorney of the Province spent 68.92 per cent, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat 49.52 per cent and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism the least at 16.48 per cent. Information Officer Sanjyal said that the capital expenditure will gradually increase as most of the schemes of the state government have finally started to be implemented.
Similarly, the revenue and fees collected by the Bagmati state government under various heads have also decreased. According to the Ministry, the state government is expected to receive Rs 29.55 billion from the allocation in the current fiscal year, of which 62.73 percent or Rs 18.54 billion has been collected in the last 10 months.
Similarly, information officer Sanjyal informed that only Rs 8.47 billion has been received in 10 months against the estimated rs 15.157 billion under equalization grant from the federal government.
Similarly, in the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS, the revenue collected from internal sources of the state government is estimated to be Rs 4.53 billion.
Information Officer Sanjyal said that the revenue collection of the state government has been affected due to the decline in the sale and purchase of real estate and new vehicles due to financial liquidity.
