Agency. Australia’s minimum wage will rise by 3.5 per cent after an annual review of the Industrial Relations Tribunal.
The Fair Work Commission announced on Tuesday that the national minimum wage will increase from 24.1 Australian dollars ($15.6) per hour to 24.95 Australian dollars ($16.1) per hour or 948 Australian dollars ($614) per week based on a full-time 38-hour working week from July 1.
The FWC said the decision, based on consultation with governments, employers and unions, would affect more than 2.6 million Australian workers.
