Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has expressed its objection after the royalists attacked private structures during the protest. The federation has urged all parties concerned to take action after the Bhatbhateni Department Store, houses and buildings were set on fire.
The federation has issued a statement, stating that the federation has drawn its serious attention to the looting and vandalism in the name of the protest. The statement said, ‘The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has drawn its serious attention to the protests/demonstrations held with various demands and the violation of the natural rights of the general public and entrepreneurs to carry out their professions and businesses, as well as the attacks, looting, arson and other activities on private and public property.’
One royalist and one photojournalist were killed during the protest. Similarly, the Bhat Bhateni Supermarket in Koteshwor was vandalized and various items were stolen.
