Kathmandu. Air flights have been affected due to adverse weather. According to Tribhuvan International Airport, at least half a dozen international flights have been diverted due to poor visibility due to the bad weather.

Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa informed that at least half a dozen flights of various airlines have been diverted due to low visibility due to thick fog. He said that the flights of Jazeera Air, Air India and Fly Dubai have been diverted.

Two flights of Jazeera Airways and Air India were diverted to Banaras, India, while the Fly Dubai flight was diverted and landed at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, spokesperson Sherpa informed. Other flights landed after a brief hold.

‘This morning, the visibility was 1,600 meters, the aircraft was diverted as the visibility did not meet the required standards for landing,’ ‘Now, the visibility has increased to 3,000 meters, the aircraft has had problems landing due to dust and haze.’

Currently, there is a partial influence of the westerly wind in the country, and due to the influence of that weather system, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. .

As this may partially affect daily life, agriculture, health, road and air transport, the Division has requested to adopt necessary measures and precautions to avoid the possible impact.
