Rampur. Assistive devices have been provided to differently abled people in Rampur Municipality. Nine differently abled people living in Rampur-7 have been provided with assistive devices (wheelchairs).
The ward office has stated that the devices have been provided to completely disabled people. Ward Chairman Dobaraj Tiwari informed that wheelchairs were distributed to nine people based on their needs among the ‘A’ category completely disabled people who are unable to walk and are supported by family members.
Ward Secretary Geeta Lamsal Poudel said that the materials were purchased and distributed at a cost of Rs. 111,000.
According to her, the materials were purchased and distributed with the assistance of Rs. 50,000 allocated from the ward office under the title of purchasing disability support materials and Rs. 61,000 received from Japanese citizen Kazuma Sakakimi.
