Army mobilized to stop violence, ordered to shoot

Kathmandu. The government has deployed the army on the streets after the royalist protests turned violent. The army has been deployed in the Baneshwor and Koteshwor areas to enforce the curfew order. Army vehicles have started patrolling the streets.

The Nepal Police has demanded an order to shoot those involved in violent activities. It is said that since the curfew order has been issued, the police do not need the above order to open fire on those who violate it.

The Kathmandu District Administration Office has issued a curfew order until 10 pm.

The protesters have set fire to the implementation of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party and looted Bhatbhateni. They also vandalized the offices of Annapurna Post and Kantipur TV.

Some private buildings have also been set on fire. Some government and private vehicles have also been set on fire.
