Approximately 1.2 trillion rupees in remittances were received in 9 months, the number of people receiving final work permits exceeded 358,000

Kathmandu. Remittance inflow has increased by 10 percent in the first 9 months of the current fiscal year. According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, it reached Rs 1,191.31 billion in the first 9 months. Remittance inflow had increased by 17.2 percent in the same period of the previous year.

Similarly, remittance inflow in US dollars has increased by 7.3 percent to Rs 8.74 billion. Such inflow had increased by 15.2 percent in the previous year. Net secondary income (cash transfer) has reached Rs 1,301.94 billion during the review period. In the same period of the previous year, such income was 1174.54 billion.

During the review period, the number of Nepalis who received final labor permits (institutional and individual new) for foreign employment was 3,58,222 and the number of those who received re-labor permits was 2,49,652. In the same period of the previous year, such numbers were 3,27,842 and 2,11,226, respectively.
