Appreciation of the role played by the Muslim community in maintaining social harmony

Patan. Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has praised the role played by the Muslim community in maintaining social harmony in the country.

At the Eid Milan and New Year 2082 greeting exchange program organized by the party’s sister organization, Nepal Muslim Association Central Committee, at the party central office today, he praised the role played by the Muslim community in maintaining social harmony and strengthening the party.

‘There are many supportive brothers and sisters in the Muslim community, the inclusive, proportional governance system adopted by the country encompasses all castes and communities, and the party is aware of making it more inclusive.’ Deuba said.

Party Joint General Secretary Bhishma Raj Angdambe said that the Nepali Congress, which accepts religious freedom and tolerance and believes in a democratic system, is demonstrating its sincerity by accepting everyone’s faith, thoughts and values.

Central member Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the contribution made by the Muslim community to the democratic system and the development of the country cannot be forgotten. Another central member, Abdul Satar, expressed his best wishes for the New Year 2082 and said that the country can be developed through unity among all castes and communities.

On that occasion, Nepali Congress Lalitpur President Jitendra Kumar Shrestha, Nepal Muslim Association Central President Atabul Mansur, and Muslim Commission Acting President Muhammaduddin Ali said that religious unity, harmony, and tolerance are the hallmarks of Nepalis.
