Kathmandu. The ANNFSU, which is close to the CPN(S), has submitted a memorandum demanding scrapping of the decision to take admission in CTEVT students without taking the entrance test. The ANNFSU submitted a memorandum to CTEVT Member Secretary Mahesh Bhattarai at the office on Wednesday.
The 207th meeting of CTEVT had decided to admit students from this academic session without any program run by CTEVT. Stating that the ANNFSU has drawn serious attention against the decision, it has demanded that the decision be revoked.
They have demanded that the entrance test should be made mandatory to give equal opportunity to every student, saying that the students who have passed from the community school will be affected if the students are admitted only on the basis of GPA without the entrance test, the GPA will be more of the students coming from private than the community and the opportunity to study in CTEVT will also be more.
Similarly, the council’s decision not to take the entrance test should be revoked immediately, the memorandum said. If this is not done, the ANNFSU may go to any extent.
