Kathmandu. Amen Bhutan Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. has organized a special program in Kathmandu to promote tourism between Nepal and Bhutan. The program was organized to provide information about the Bhutanese tourism sector and its system among businessmen.
The promotion evening organized in Kathmandu with the aim of providing information about Bhutan’s tourism business and promoting cooperation between Nepal and Bhutanese businessmen was a success, said Ranjit Tamang, Managing Director of Amen Bhutan.
More than 500 tourism businessmen and people associated with the sector from Nepal participated in the promotion program organized at the Dusit Princess Hotel in Kathmandu. Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, also participated in the program.
Tamang said that the program was organized to increase contact and coordination with Nepalese tourism entrepreneurs and to exchange information about Bhutan’s tourism sector at one place.
Amen Bhutan Travel and Treks Pvt. Ltd. is the largest private sector tourism promotion company in Bhutan. Tourism entrepreneur Ngawa Ngima Sherpa, who is also a former member of the Nepal Tourism Board, said that the interaction with Nepali entrepreneurs about the promotion of Bhutan’s tourism was held due to the fact that tourists from third countries travel to Bhutan via Nepal and the easy availability of direct air services between Nepal and Bhutan.
On the occasion, information was also provided about Bhutan’s art and culture, its religious tourism and Bhutanese tourism plans. Information about Bhutan’s major tourist destinations and measures to promote tourism to Bhutan from Nepal were also discussed on the occasion.
