Kathmandu. Aam Janata Party (AJP) Chairman Prabhu Shah has drawn the attention of the government to take immediate action against the culprits of the Gaur murder case as per the law.

Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, Chairman Shah drew this attention. He also asked where the investigation into the Gaur murder case has reached. He alleges that the government has not investigated the murder even though the victim filed a complaint.

He said, “I want to ask the government, where has the investigation into the Gaur massacre, a horrific murder that took place in the afternoon?”

On Chaitra 28, 2006, in Gaur, Rautahat, a dispute between the cadres of the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum led by Upendra Yadav and the then CPN-Maoist took the form of a clash. In the process, more than two dozen Maoist cadres were killed.

The family of the deceased had filed a complaint about the incident at the Rautahat Police Office on Chaitra 28 of the same year. But the government has not yet identified the culprit. Speaker Sah also said that the question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister should be removed from the agenda of the parliament.
