Jhapa. Birtamode branch of Agricultural Materials Company Limited has sold 20,449.20 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizers so far in the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS. According to Deepak Kumar Rajbanshi, chief of the branch, the branch received 19,619.50 metric tons of chemical fertilizers in the current fiscal year and 1,550 metric tons of chemical fertilizers in the previous year. According to him, there will be no shortage of fertilizers for farmers this year as chemical fertilizers are still coming in.
According to the data of the branch office, 12,017.35 metric tons of urea, 7,538.55 metric tons of DAP, 787.35 metric tons of potash and 105.95 metric tons of lime have been sold so far in the current fiscal year 2081/82.
According to branch chief Rajbanshi, urea is being sold at Rs 808.50 per bag, DAP at Rs 2,258.50 per bag, potash at Rs 1,658.50 per bag and lime at Rs 215 per bag. Currently, 1,100 metric tonnes of urea, 6,000 metric tonnes of DAP and 500 metric tonnes of potash are in stock, said Branch Chief Rajbanshi.
Chief Rajbanshi informed that the branch office has sold 21 metric tonnes of paddy seeds of five different varieties this year. According to him, paddy seeds of Radha 12, Bahuguni 2, Haldinath 6, Swarnasaf and Ramdhan varieties have been distributed.
