Kathmandu. Chinese Everest climber Xiaozu has said that he felt like he was wrapped in a mountain hug when he saw the white snow peak in front of his eyes.

According to Sujit Regmi, vice-president of Nepal Big Mountain, the flight was operated by Buddha Air’s ATR aircraft. A total of 50 climbers from India, China, the UNITED Kingdom and Mexico have seen the mountain. The flight took off from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 6:40 am and landed at Kathmandu Airport after an hour-long flight. A view of the snow peak from Langtang Mountain to Sagarmatha Mountain area was done.

Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, Airlines, Guna Air, among others, have been operating mountain flights. Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu operates mountain flights at 7:00 am. Mountain flights last about an hour. The flight starts from the airport and offers panoramic views of Sagarmatha, Makalu, Nupse, Gaurishankar and other glaciers. The ‘International Everest Summit-2025’, a special gathering of international Everest climbers, has been organized in Kathmandu for the first time. More than 300 experienced mountaineers from 25 countries participated in the summit organized by Everest Alliance Nepal. India, China, the US, Pakistan, the UK, Italy, Norway, Iran, Singapore, Australia, Lebanon, Morocco and the UAE participated in the conference.

Chairman of Everest Alliance Napal Sudarshan Nepal said that the mountain flight has been done for foreign Everest climbers to see the unique beauty of Nepal’s mountains. He expressed the belief that this flight would help promote adventure tourism in Nepal.

Earlier, on May 14, the foreign guests participating in the much-awaited ‘Sagarmatha Sambad’ were given a view of the mountain beauty including Mt. Everest by mountain flight. In the context of International Sagarmatha Day, big international conferences are being held in Nepal last week.

The Buddhist International Travel Mart was organized from May 9 to 11 after the Sagarmatha Sambad. The fifth edition of The Himalayan Travel Mart is going to be held from June 20 to 22. Deepak Raj Joshi, Ceo of Nepal Tourism Board( NTB), said that the international assembly conference on tourism being held in Nepal one after the other has contributed to the promotion of nepal’s tourism, especially adventure tourism. He said that the Board has come forward with a strategic program to promote the destination in the source market.
