Myagdi. The upgrading of the 10-kilometer road from Mangala Rural Municipality-2 Sim to Kotrabang-Khumlyah-Paiupata-Kuhun-Purnagaun and the tourist spot Todke has begun after 14 years.
This year, the federal government and Mangala Rural Municipality have jointly invested Rs 40 million to widen the Sim and Khumlyah areas at the entrance point of the road, build drains, gabion walls for water drainage, and make slopes. This allocated project is the biggest of Mangala Rural Municipality this year.
According to Mangala Rural Municipality Chief Administrative Officer Gopal Sharma, the upgrading has begun by widening the road from Simchowk and installing gabion walls with the aim of completing the construction by the upcoming Ashar. Gabion mesh filling and wall construction are underway in Simchowk, Patal, Kuhun, and Purnagaun areas.
