Kathmandu. Chief Minister of Madhes Province Satish Kumar Singh has stressed the need of completing the adjustment of police and personnel in the province at the earliest to strengthen federalism.
Speaking at an interaction programme on strengthening federalism in Janakpurdham, Chief Minister Singh said this at a programme organized by the elected members of Madhes province in the National Assembly of the Federal Parliament.
Chief Minister Singh said that the development budget could not be spent as per the wishes due to lack of necessary support from the employees.
He said that the 11th level officers should be promoted to the secretary and the chief administrative officers to be deputed in the municipalities should be under the provincial government.
He cited the example of incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli sending all the secretaries deputed to the province to the Chief Minister’s Office in lump sum, saying it was necessary to send administrative officers deputed to the madhes municipalities through the Chief Minister’s Office.
Chief Minister Singh said that although the need for chemical fertilizers and seed vision is high in Madhes province, the quota of fertilizers is low and demanded that the budget should be distributed to the province on the basis of population.
