A concrete bridge will be built over Diuli River in Rishing for Rs. 38.5 million.

Tanahun. The construction of a concrete bridge has been started on the Diuli River connecting Rishing Rural Municipality-1 and 3 here. The construction of the bridge has been started at a cost of Rs 38.593 million under the federal conditional grant.

Once the bridge is completed, residents of three local levels of the district, Rishing, Vyas and Devghat, will benefit. About 400 households of the three municipalities will have easy access to the road, informed the rural municipality engineer Shree Krishna Khanal.

He said, ‘After the bridge is built, it will be easy to reach Dubung and Khalte in Devghat via the Diuli River Bridge from Damauli.’ Pashupati Arcadia Assets JV has been given the responsibility of constructing the bridge. Currently, one pillar of the bridge has been constructed and the other pillar is being constructed, said Akhil Subedi, the municipality’s engineer.

According to him, the bridge is being constructed using the 40-meter ‘span prestressed concrete’ technology. So far, the financial progress of the bridge is 30 percent and the physical progress is 40 percent. The construction of the bridge was started after signing an agreement on Magh 23, 2080 BS. Chief Administrative Officer Anil Amgai said that the residents of Rishing have been facing problems due to the lack of a bridge here.
